‘PROVINCIAL’ no more!

Taking college education in a ‘provincial’ colleges or university cannot be taken for granted or be regarded as a mere alternative to being educated in big universities of Imperial Metro Manila. This is what Batangas City-based public institution – the Batangas State University – has proved through the years, the latest being hailed as Top Performing School in Mechanical Engineering by the professional Regulatory Commission (PRC).

In the most recent board exam administered by the PRC on February 27-28, BatState produces seven (7) among the Top 10 Board Passers led by its Top 1 Kelvin Macatangay.

“We are not only happy, but more than proud of everyone for conquering one of the toughest challenges of your lives, and contributing in the vision of the University in becoming a globally recognized institution,” , Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, University President greeted his newest batch of board passers.

“Your achievement reflects your dedication and cooperation with Batangas State University in the delivery of quality higher learning, and the development of productive Filipinos who will serve as leaders of the present and future generations,” he continued.

Proving its expertise in the field of Mechanical Engineering, the BatSatteU once again dominated and reached the top spot with a passing rate of 99.15% surpassing a total of 149 schools. Only one (1) among the 118 graduates-examinees missed to be in the roll of new mechanical engineers. All of the four (4) repeaters made it to the roll.

In her message, Dr. Elisa Gutierrez, Dean of College of Engineering, Architecture, and Fine Arts (CEAFA), said that it will be more challenging for the BatStateU to keep its continuous quality improvement (CQI) system at work.

Meanwhile, all of the three (3) examinees of the Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas passed the board exams. While 24 out of 60 examinees (including four (4) out of 15 repeaters) of the University of Batangas made it to also to the roll of new board passers.|#BALIKAS_News
